Bhuj-Kutch
Bhuj, located in the Kutch district of Gujarat, India, is renowned for its unique and diverse architectural heritage. This region's architecture reflects a blend of traditional craftsmanship, indigenous building techniques, and artistic creativity.

Itinerary

Arrive in Bhuj. Visit the Khamir craft center, Rani Mahal, the 19th-century Prag Mahal, and the dilapidated 18th-century Aina Mahal. If time permits, visit the Sharad Bagh Palace, an elegant Italianate palace that was home to Madansingh, the last Maharao of Kutch.


Visit Hunnarshala for a full day workshop. Hunnarshala Foundation in Bhuj is one of the leading businesses in the Builders & Developers.


Take a look at the Bhunga houses in Kutch as an example of a settlement study. We will visit the Rann of Kutch, known as the largest salt desert in the world. The Rann of Kachchh has white, salty desert sand.


Check out and proceed to Ahmedabad.


We will be visiting Akshardham temple in Gandhinagar. Later visit Adalaj Vav which is one of few step wells in the country. Proceed with visiting works doone by BV Doshi, who is a famed architect of Ahmedabad. Ending up with Sabarmati Ashram Riverfront.


Visit the Sanskar Kendra Museum, designed by the architect Le Corbusier. Later, visit CEPT and the Mills Owner Association. Then visit Ahmedabad ni Gufa, which is an underground art gallery. Lastly, visit Sarkhez Roza, which is a mosque and tomb complex.


Visit LD Institute of Indology OR NID. Then go for a Heritage walk of the city. Later if time permits, we will be visiting Kankaria Lake.


Check out of the hotel and proceed for POL settlement study. Proceed to airport/station to board the flight/train back home.
